Monica Hagan attended the 38th Annual Meeting of the Western Decision Sciences Institute (WDSI) in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii, on April 7-11, 2009, when she presented a paper with co-authors Alfred Hagan (Pepperdine University) and Patricio Fay (IAE Business School in Buenos Aires, Argentina): "Revisiting management style differences between U. S. and Argentine managers." The conference paper is the result of a study the Hagans and Fay conducted in Argentina in the summer, 2008.

Rita Costello participated in the Academic Business Library Directors (ABLD) 2009 Conference at The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, April 21-23, 2009. The Rosenfeld Library remodel of Summer 2008 was selected as one of the invited presentations for the Thursday, April 23 program "Space planning slideshows and discussion." Along with her colleagues Carlton Brown from Duke University and Millicent Gaskell from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Rita titled her presentation "Rosenfeld Library; Active-Learning Environment."
