2009-2010 UCLA Library Marie Saito Endowed FellowshipThe UCLA Library Marie Saito Endowed Fellowship was established to support a Master’s level student who is pursuing a Masters in Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree in the UCLA Department of Information Studies. Ms. Saito’s husband and son established the Fellowship in honor of their wife and mother. Ms. Saito was a longtime employee of the Louise M. Darling Biomedical Library. The 2009 – 2010 Marie Saito Endowed Fellowship will be in the amount of $2,500. Applicants for the Saito Fellowship must be students in the UCLA Department of Information Studies Program. Priority will be given to students who are employees of the UCLA Library and who are starting the second year of their MLIS. Special consideration will be given to those pursuing a career in biomedical librarianship. The Saito Fellowship may be awarded to a student in any year of their MLIS program.
