NN/LM PSR Computer Training Lab

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine Pacific Southwest Region (NN/LM PSR) Computer Training Lab is available free of charge to UCLA Library staff for classes and demonstrations utilizing computers. The training lab contains 13 Dell Optiplex GX620 workstations (including the instructor's workstation) with 2 GB RAM and Windows XP Professional. There are 24 chairs available for students, a projector screen, and a dry-erase board.

Software available on the computers include Microsoft Office 2003, Internet Explorer, NetSupport School, CuteFTP and other multimedia software including plugins such as Acrobat Reader, Shockwave/Flash, Media Players (Quicktime and Real Player), etc. We may be able to accommodate the installation of specific software.

The training lab is located at 12-077 Center for the Health Sciences, on the 12th level of the Biomedical Library. It is available Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Other UCLA departments are welcome to use the training lab but will be charged the following fees:

  • 4-hour event (or less) = $75 (includes up to 1 hour of labor for setup prior to event)
  • 8-hour event = $100 (includes up to 1 hour of labor for setup prior to event)
  • Each additional day for same event = $50
  • Additional software setup fee (beyond included hour) = $50/hour
