New PRIMO Posting

PRIMO (Peer-Reviewed Instructional Materials Online) has yet another interview for their Site of the Month posted at: www.ala.org/ala/acrlbucket/is/iscommittees/webpages/emergingtech/site/index.htm. This interview is with Research 101’s author John W. Holmes, and covers topics such as how long it took to build the tutorial and what their typical student tutorial user is like.

Register now for "Brick and Click Libraries"

The 7th annual Brick and Click symposium will be held November 2, 2007, at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. Registration is open until October 12, and must be done by check. Forms and more information are available at: www.brickandclick.org.

The symposium is designed to offer academic librarians a forum for sharing practical information.

Chance to Publish in College & Undergraduate Libraries

College & Undergraduate Libraries, a peer-reviewed journal published by The Haworth Press, Inc., is currently welcoming submission of manuscripts for its Teaching Tips column.

Please send manuscripts or proposals for Teaching Tips to the column editor, Christopher Cox, at coxcn@uwec.edu by Friday, July 27, 2007. If accepted, submissions will be published in the final issue of 2007, Volume 14, No. 4.

Teaching Tips offers practical help and innovative examples of instructional approaches for undergraduate students. Topics of interest include applications of technology to instruction, classroom curriculums, active learning, experimental teaching techniques, assessment of instruction, etc. Submissions for this column should be 5 - 10 manuscript pages in length and should follow the Haworth guidelines for manuscript format and preparation available at www.haworthpress.com/store/product.asp?sid=BSAT8LHGFJG69GTFEG9XA2CGGLKN2UX5&sku=J106&detail=IFA#IFA.
