IL event at UCLA

Come to the YRL West Electronic Classroom on Thursday, November 30th from 12-1 pm and hear about how information literacy helps students compete in the global market! Our own Stephanie Brasley and Aura Lippincott will be hosting a discussion about the Information Literacy Summit entitled "American Competitiveness in the Internet Age" that they recently attended in Washington DC. Panelists discussed where information literacy falls on the continuum between basic literacy and information fluency, how we must equip students with the lifelong learning skills to compete in a global market, and more. Take-aways included information that can be used in conversations with faculty and other campus stakeholders to promote information literacy.

For more information on the summit, see www.infolitsummit.com/site/index.htm.
