TPAC Meeting

Present:

Andy Kohler, Carlo Medina (recorder), Reynaldo Quitos (Chair), Angela Riggio, Sharon Sullivan, Germaine Wadeborn, Lola Willoughby

Guests:

Dawn Henney, Lorelyn Lewis, Steve Osako. Andy Stancliffe and Alan Takara.
  1. Web Supplier File – This is expected to be available by year’s end, given Andy K’s transition into LIS.

  2. Invoice Database – may not be completed before Andy joins LIS, but the information this database provides can also be garnered from canned or specialized reports.

  3. Registration of E-serials – There was ongoing discussion and comparison as to how different units (primarily Biomed and YRL) deal with E-serials and how to implement those procedures Library-wide. Sharon Farb has been named “Coordinator of Digital Acquisitions” and it remains to be decided what role her position will have in the acquisition and maintenance of E-serials. Sharon will be invited to the next meeting on this subject for further discussion.

  4. Sharon and Lola were able to pull up reports of journals that used the Subject Class/Report Code fields. More testing and fine-tuning will be needed before making this widely available.

  5. Web 2 – David Leonian is working on it. Lola will report more next meeting.

  6. With the departure of Andy, Carlo has offered to take on revisions to the TPAC web site.

  7. Next meeting is 10/26.
